President’s Message

I am very honored and privileged to serve as the President of the Southern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce for 2008. While I am not only proud to be in such a prestigious position, I see it as an opportunity to make an impact on both our area and on the surrounding areas as well.

In the past years that I have been a part of this Chamber, I have seen our membership grow by leaps and bounds. We have increased our benefits to our members by offering many opportunities to network, learn about different business objectives and build relationships. One of the most important things about SMCC is that we genuinely care for each and every member and will do our best to make sure that you receive the most out of your participation with the Chamber.

At the beginning of every New Year, we set forth goals and objectives that we would like to achieve. Ever since being elected in late 2007, I have been thinking about what my goals for the Chamber would be and I’d like to share what I’ve come up with:

Continue to steadily grow our membership by making face to face contact with as many businesses and individuals as we can.
Develop programs and seminars to provide to our members so they may continue to succeed within their businesses.
Increase participation within our committees and show our members how this participation will help their businesses grow.
Assure that the Chamber remains a tool for all members to utilize and to ensure that all products and services we provide are helpful for positive growth.
ABOVE ALL, let our members know that myself, the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and Office Staff are here for you and will do our best to provide an open, friendly, and positive atmosphere at all times.

On behalf of myself, the Board of Directors and Executive Staff, I want to thank you for your continued support of the Southern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce. I look forward to facing the many challenges ahead and making it the BEST year yet!
